"When you surrender to what is and so become fully present,
the past ceases to have any power.
You do not need it anymore. Presence is the key.
Now is the key."

"For 25 years as owner and director of Mindful Living Studio, I've designed and taught education & training for groups in academia, corporate wellness, and other settings.  I serve Vessel Yoga students and private coaching clients in the Mindful Living Studio, a small private studio in the Midlands of South Carolina USA.  Before becoming an entrepreneur, I held executive leadership positions as I simultaneously studied holistic healing arts.  I received initiations into numerous mystery paths.  Neuroscience and quantum physics nourish my endless curiosity and help explain what I experience in the inner world.  The joy of observing people awaken as they get out of pain, find hope & tap the power of faith is my passion.  Some say I've walked in the world undercover as a mystic easily perceiving things invisible to others.  As a sensitive and intuitive I am able to perceive multidimensionally.  We all can.  My unique talent is quickly detecting what's out of balance and discerning a skillful way forward for the individual or group that integrates mind, body and being." ~ dhiana

I created Mindful Living Studio to offer an enlightened life perspective and empowered way of life to anyone ready and willing to pursue balance by being curious about and then changing what isn't working.  For years, I've had a wait list for groups and private clients.  Individuals study with me for many years and corporate assignments have run deep and wide.  Through a slow organic attrition process space has opened to begin to bring new outreach through Mindful Living Studio global.  I'm being guided to utilize technology to better serve humanity by providing self-paced eCourses along with retreat Immersions to accelerate integrative development.  And to realize spiritual awakening for embodiment of Life Satisfaction.  Peace in the Individual creates Peace on Earth.  Broadening my scope to planetary comes as spiritual direction to go to all the world.

I live what I teach.  It is a practice.  I get up when circumstances knock me down.  I've learned to be steady.  Resilience is developed through mindful living.  Life is bold, sweet and inspiring as I flow through my 60s.  I feel I am stronger, wiser, and exceptionally fit for duty!  Vessel Yoga boot camp is seeing to that.  I embody what I teach.

I've been unskillful.  I dropped out of high school, became a single mom on government assistance, & survived the shock and pain of cancer.  Every hard knock made me curious about how people get out of pits they created and change their lives.  Soon I redirected my life.

Formal education brought honors followed by a graduate degree.  Along the way I discovered Yoga,
numerous
Holistic Healing Arts, and studied with indigenous medicine teachers.  As an executive education and training professional I served in military and civilian settings.  In 2012, I retired from an academic career where I designed and taught courses to develop Mindful Living skills (Yoga and Inner Mastery).  As an entrepreneur, I serve all willing to learn Mindful Living skills to access inner resources, avoid burnout, create meaningful lives of purpose, thrive with health, vision and enjoyment.  I'm an earth sculptress creating teaching gardens, healing space designer, and art of all kinds.  I'm a world traveler as the great mystery muse directs my steps to places near and far.  I have prophetic dreams and visions.  I am married to a brilliant funny man.  We share in the delight of two children, three grandchildren, three great grands, along with two spoiled cats and a school of gold fish.

In my life journey, I devoured endless resources on consciousness.  Tough before the internet made it easy.  My insatiable thirst for knowledge was wet through study of ancient wisdom teachings, comparative religions, and quantum physics.  Transformational practices of Yoga and other mystical teachings offer a time-proven path to cultivate life balance and spiritual awakening.  Science now can measure how these practices rapidly reshape the brain, rewire the nervous system, awaken the energy body, and more.  It's an exciting time as more individuals feel the call of the quantum world to embrace the realm of all possibilities with a noble heart, steady mind, and balanced Vessel.  We can transform ourselves and the world.  It is a choice we each have been given the opportunity to make when we know it is possible.

Vessel Yoga is a culmination of my studies and many years of practices that support human awakening to tap fullness of our Divine potential with enjoyment and ease.  I have received many initiations to carry these consciousness teachings.  I am continually humbled by the bestowal of this honor.  Over the years my time on retreat has been essential to deepen and broaden my practice.  I've been fortunate to attend more than 20 retreats.  Ranging from one month to two nights each time I stepped away I learned to do less with more skill.  It is my greatest wish that all experience the freedom and joy of a mindful living retreat.

I am a founding Ambassador for Take Back The Garden (TBTG), a conscious business initiative to reclaim balance in individuals, the human family, and all relations.  Funded by MLS Global profits, TBTG is an experiment in conscious business inviting the human family to come together to free us from limiting beliefs and behaviors while cultivating balance with our earth.  This new endeavor is funded by p
roceeds from Mindful Living programs.   TBTG's mission is to provide educational solutions to combat ignorance and support awakening to the Light of Knowledge and Interconnectedness.

Vessel Yoga
My study of yoga is wide and deep.  Vessel Yoga is a new approach to yoga that is being revealed.  I am unaware of an existing program like Vessel Yoga.  As Sri Aurobindo taught, and many others, Yoga is a living practice with ancient roots.  This innovative practice is well suited for today's needs.  It is rooted in the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) program that I've offer since the mid 1990s.  Vessel Yoga developed as the mindful movement practice of the MBSR.  Vessel Yoga embraces the fullness of Yoga as a path of awakening.

MBSR research indicates development occurs within 8 weeks with 45 minutes of practice six days a week.  My work in academia and elsewhere indicates this development can occur in less time but practice is essential.  Immersion during retreat accelerates development.  A retreat is not an escape or vacation.  It is focused practice in a quiet setting with minimal distractions.  Readiness and willingness for retreat indicates we have reached a stage of development that allows a new level of learning to accelerate.  Development that could take years can occur within days during an immersion when we are ready.

Vessel Yoga is a 5-stage Mind Body Being Integration process: Aspiration, Befriending & Clearing, Aligning & Strengthening, Stillness Flow, Oneness.  It is rooted in Integral Yoga of Sri Aurobindo, Richard Miller's work on healing trauma, and other mindbody practices ancient and modern.  Yoga is a comprehensive self evaluation process that allows us to perceive what binds or limits us and what leads to Knowledge, Wisdom, and Understanding.  Vessel Yoga heals our relationship with ourselves as the body, our history, and conditioning so we become a "house" for the Wisdom Nature to live through us on earth.

I am an educator.  I am not a psychotherapist or other mental health practitioner although I have taught this population in medical school and served them as private clients.  For more than 40 years, I have passionately studied human development and spiritual awakening.   For 25 years, I have been in private practice as an executive coach, group facilitator, and teacher of mindful living practices that create integration or wholeness of body, mind, and spirit.   I, along with a small group of visionaries, was inspired to create a global platform, Take Back The Garden to reclaim balance for the individual, our human family, and our earth.  My service through mindful living and dhiana sage programs funds Take Back The Garden initiatives.  I anticipate others will come to serve in The Garden as Ambassadors of Peace and Goodwill and to create and teach programs.

My credentials include Masters of Education, MEd, BA Psychology (honors) and Registered Yoga Teacher as eRYT500 and YACEP with The Yoga Alliance.  I have many other credentials reflecting study in a broad range of holistic services including study with indigenous medicine people. I am the founder, owner and director of Mindful Living Studio.
